When I was a bride-to-be almost 5 years ago, I remember the excitement that flowers and dresses and color schemes brought me. Ok, color schemes might excite me even more now that I’m obsessed with decorating my house, but that’s another story. I remember browsing the racks at the bookstore looking at wedding books and magazines.

Magazines were my favorite. Each month leading up to my wedding, I waited for the new issues of Modern Bride & Martha Stewart Weddings to be published so I could tear through them and rip out pictures for my “wedding binder”. Magazines were such a great resource because there was always something new to look at and read. I mostly saved pictures of hairstyles, flower arrangements, and dresses, but the little tips on ettiquete, food, drinks, saving on your budget, and ways not to kill your fiance were invaluable.
